Description:
The doors of the Staten Island Institute of Arts & Sciences opened in January 1885. Since then, the mission of the Institute is to collect, interpret, exhibit, and preserve items relating to history, art, and natural science of Staten Island, the New York Harbor, and the surrounding region.
